Supporting the inner passage of birth.
This isn’t traditional doula care, and it’s not separate from the rest of your life.
I support women through pregnancy, birth, and early postpartum in a way that’s grounded in Vedic wisdom, where birth is understood as something that moves within you, not just something that happens to you.
It’s a time that asks for a different kind of support. Not more information, not more instruction, but a way of being held that allows you to stay connected to yourself, to feel nourished rather than overwhelmed, and to move through it in a way that actually lands.
This is about being supported to live what you already know, in a moment where that really matters.
“The most important knowledge a woman can gather in preparation for birth is self knowledge - knowledge about what her mind and body needs to feel safe enough to trust her instinct and intuition. ”
Dr Rachel Reed
There is a way of being with birth that isn’t about managing it or trying to get it “right.” It’s about tuning into how the space around you feels, how your body is responded to, and whether you’re able to soften into what’s happening rather than brace against it.
My role is to support that. To help create an environment where your nervous system can settle, where there’s less interference and more trust, and where you’re not left to hold everything on your own.
This draws on Vedic understanding and traditional ways of caring for women, not as something added on, but as a natural way of holding this time with more depth and care.
A different kind of support.
Who this is for.
This tends to resonate with women who feel that birth belongs within a much wider experience of being a woman.
You might not have the language for it, but you can feel that the standard approach doesn’t quite meet you. That you want to feel supported without being overwhelmed, and guided without being taken over.
You want to stay connected to yourself within it.
You want this time to be lived, not just managed or endured, and to be supported in a way that actually nourishes you as you move through it.

Pregnancy & Birth Mentorship
Online, 1:1
This offering provides ongoing, individual support through pregnancy and preparation for birth.
The work is grounded, relational, and attentive to both the practical and inner dimensions of pregnancy. Rather than following a set program, mentorship unfolds in response to what is present for you - physically, emotionally, and in your awareness.
A central focus of this work is the relationship between states of consciousness and birth - how rest, stress, expectation, and attention shape a woman’s experience of pregnancy, labour, and postpartum. We weave in ancient midwifery wisdom from the Mayan and Mexican midwifery traditions as well as ancient Vedic wisdom to ground birth back into its rightful role.
Support may include:
working with meditation and rest to stabilise the nervous system during pregnancy
exploring birth through the lens of consciousness rather than control or performance
support through practices like Vedic meditation, mantra and breath.
practical Ayurvedic guidance, including daily routines and simple supportive recipes
space to reflect on identity shifts, fears, expectations, and relational dynamics
preparation for the postpartum period and the support it requires
This work sits alongside medical or midwifery care and respects your autonomy and decision-making. It is designed for women who want to engage birth consciously, with steadiness and depth, rather than through techniques alone.
Mentorship is offered online and may be engaged whether or not I am present at your birth.
Birth companion
Mentorship + Birth Presence (Melbourne & Surrounds)
This pathway is for women who want ongoing support during pregnancy alongside calm, grounded presence during labour and birth.
Sacred Birth Companion combines one-to-one pregnancy mentorship with in-person birth support, working alongside your chosen midwifery or medical care. It is designed for women who value continuity, emotional steadiness, and thoughtful support through the intensity and unpredictability of birth.
During birth, my role is to support the emotional and relational environment — helping to create a sense of warmth, containment, and orientation for the woman and those supporting her. This may include quiet reassurance, support for partners and family, traditional comfort measures such as rebozo work, and simple practices that support settling and rest.
Where appropriate, I may also work with mantra, traditional medicines or tinctures, and practical ways of shaping the birth space to feel calm, warm, and supportive.
What this pathway includes
Support is offered across pregnancy, birth, and the early postpartum period, and typically includes:
ongoing pregnancy and birth mentorship
on-call availability around your due time
in-person support during labour and birth
emotional support for partners and family members
an early postpartum visit to support initial integration
This work is relational and responsive, shaped by your circumstances rather than a fixed template.
Availability
This offering is intentionally limited and available by application only.
It is offered to women birthing in Melbourne and surrounding regions.
Optional postpartum or ceremonial support may be discussed as part of the enquiry process.
The postpartum decent.
Postpartum Integration, Ceremony & Closing (in person or online)
The postpartum period is a time of significant adjustment - physically, emotionally, and relationally. Yet support for the mother during this time is often limited or short-lived.
The Postpartum Descent offers steady support as a woman settles into life after birth and begins to integrate what has changed. This pathway recognises that postpartum care is not only about recovery or routines, but about orientation - to the body, to identity, and to what has been lived through.
This offering may be entered whether your birth was recent or many years ago, and whether or not we worked together during pregnancy or birth.
How this support may look
Postpartum support is shaped by your needs and timing, and may include:
space to reflect on and integrate the birth experience
emotional support during a period of vulnerability and transition
practical postpartum planning and support preparation
traditional closing and restorative practices
rebozo work and belly binding
preparation of traditional placenta tinctures where appropriate
This work is offered gently and respectfully, without urgency or expectation.
Availability
Postpartum support is available both online and in person.
In-person ceremonial and closing work is offered in Melbourne and surrounding regions.
Online postpartum planning and integration sessions are available more widely.
A note on this work
Many women seek postpartum support because something feels unfinished — even when the birth itself was straightforward. This pathway offers a place for that unfinishedness to be met, without needing to define or justify it.
